Welcome To Doodle Tunes!!

                            Welcome To Doodle Tunes!!

Well I guess this is a good time to introduce myself or if you followed my older blog, The Doodling Girl , to give you guys a little update of where I've been. First things first, my name is Johanna Gilkey and I am a nineteen year old artist with the inspiration to tell stories through the artwork that I've created.
Over the years, my main goal is to improve on skill and finding a general art style that I have liked. Although that goal will always be a motivation, now I want to use the skills that I've learned already to tell stories through comics and animation. Hence, Doodle Tunes was created. For my first blog, I will probably post there occasionally, but it is not my main focus. If you guys are interested in checking that blog out however, I will link The Doodling Girl in this blogpost. (It is the best way to check out some of my OLD art, and see just how far I've come.)

Another great place to follow my art journey is my youtube channel of the same name. There I've created 114 videos in total and I still post two videos every month. YouTube is actually where I've learned a lot about patience and endurance. For a long while, my channel was pretty small and although I had a few people constantly watching, I mainly created videos for the simple goal of improvement. Over time, I've met a lot of really cool people and with the audience there watching, they've really helped me improve my goals as well as become an entertainer as well.  If anyone finds this blog through my youtube channel, thank you guys soo much for sticking by me!!  That is amazing, and I REALLY appreciate it. Lastly, if anyone wants to check out my channel, I have two series that I'm currently working on right now: Let's Talk About Movies and The OC Collection.
Let's Talk About Movies is a new series I just started with a group of friends where we talk about a certain movie as I create a time-lapse fanart of that film. It is something simple and fun to do and hey, maybe you guys can join in on the fun and comment your thoughts of that film down in the comments.
The OC Collection is basically just that, a place where I get to draw my original characters. Although my goal is storytelling, I have over a hundred ocs in total and yeah, it get's kinda hard to draw every one of them when I'm focused on other things. I'm hoping in the future and with this series, to give you guys more backstory on everyone, and explain just how important everyone can be for each of my stories.
That's about it for this youtube channel, feel free to like and subscribe if you want to see more of that kind of content!!!
Earlier this year, I created a streaming account on Twitch and I'm happy to say was able to keep a schedule posting two livestreams every week. Although some weeks I don't stream due to being busy or I'm just tired, I do try to keep a constant schedule for you guys. If anyone wants to hang out with me, that's the best place. My schedule for right now is Saturday 10:30 A.M. EST. and Sunday 3:30 P.M. EST. Although I used to have a theme for each stream, I will be changing it soon. Feel free to give me a follow!! #JoinTheBuzzArmy
Finally, we get to Doodle Tunes. I know I took my time with this update but I hope you guys got a bit of a background information of where I've been so far and now where I'm going. Doodle Tunes at first was just a youtube channel called Josie M. Sings, now I want to use this channel as a way to show you guys my animations through music. Singing has always been passion of mine, but not exactly a focus. My goal for Doodle Tunes is to get my hands into storytelling through animation as well as improving my voice. It'll take a lot of work to create everything but I'm hoping it'll lead to some fun entertainment for you guys which will be my ultimate goal. Feel free to like and subscribe to my channel and yeah, can't wait to keep updating you guys with more information about my projects in the future. See you then!!
